Kathy and I are on a 42 foot Cross Trimaran from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast and beyond. With us is the world's greates boat dog: Mollie.
We left Bellingham, Washington in September of 08 and now we are in Alcapulco, Mexico. The trip has included encounter with whales, dolphin, and many turtles. When enterin Boca de Soladad we were in the middle of a pod of whales. There were about fifty. Onced inside we got very close to mothers and their babies.
We had great sailing, gales, and calms. We also managed to burn a lot of Diesel fuel.
La Paz, Mexico is a charming town with great people and food. We took some great folks sailing. We saw our first whale shark in La Paz. It was about 15 feet, and as docile as a kitten.
In Zihuatanejo we met the world's foremost chupacabro hunter; Ben and Joe from the home of Buddy Holly. They are exploing Mexico; Central and South America to either confirm the little critters existence. Visit their website. They are great guys. We also met a charming couple in Dan and Kris. We hope to meet them again......soon.
We have both had the Mexican "2 step". LOL
Until later,
John and Kathy
